What type of vehicles does YELO offer for rent?

YELO offers a wide range of rental vehicles to suit your needs:

  • Economy cars (compact, small cars)
  • SUVs and 4x4s
  • Luxury and premium vehicles

How can I make a reservation?

You can book a vehicle:

  • Online via our website (www.iyelo.ch)
  • Through our mobile app
  • Through our customer service team at +41 22 518 02 38

What documents are required to rent a vehicle?

To rent a vehicle with YELO, you need to provide:

  • A valid driver's license under the name of the main driver
  • An ID card or passport under the name of the main driver
  • A bank card (debit or credit) for payment and deposit under the name of the main driver

What are the age requirements for renting a vehicle with YELO?

  • Economy cars: 19 years old
  • Compact, Intermediate SUV, Small SUV, Full-size SUV cars: 21 years old
  • Small Luxury, Luxury Crossover, and Intermediate Luxury: 25 years old
Additional fees may apply for drivers under 25.

How can I cancel or modify my booking?

Cancellations and modifications are possible under the conditions outlined in our rental policy. You can cancel or modify your booking:

  • Online through your customer account
  • By contacting our customer service team at +41 22 518 02 38
Important: Cancellation fees may apply if you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before the pick-up date.

Is there a mileage limit?

Our rentals include 200km per day for up to 27 days unless specified in the terms of your reservation. Additional charges may apply if you exceed the mileage included in your plan.

What happens in case of an accident or breakdown?

In case of an accident or breakdown, contact our 24/7 assistance service immediately at 0800 80 80 80 (if in Switzerland) or +41 44 628 98 98 (if outside of Switzerland). An accident report will need to be completed, and depending on the circumstances, a police report may also be required.

Can I add an additional driver?

Yes, you can add an additional driver to your rental. They must be present at the time of pick-up and meet the same conditions (age, valid driver’s license, etc.). Additional fees may apply.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept payments via credit or debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, etc.). Payment for the rental is made at the time of pick-up or in advance via our website.
We do not accept pre-paid cards.

Does YELO offer additional options (child seats, etc.)?

Yes, we offer several additional options to make your trip more comfortable:

  • Child seats and boosters
  • Snow chains
These options can be reserved in advance online or added at pick-up, subject to availability.

How do I pick up my vehicle after booking?

Once your reservation is confirmed, we deliver the car at your chosen location in Geneva or at the airport. Be sure to bring all required documents to streamline the process.

Is the vehicle insured?

All our vehicles come with basic insurance, including third-party liability and theft coverage. You can also opt for additional coverage (comprehensive insurance, theft protection, etc.) to reduce your deductible to zero in the event of an accident or damage.

What happens in case of a traffic violation during the rental?

According to our terms and conditions, the renter is fully responsible for any fees or costs related to traffic or administrative violations. If necessary, we will forward the renter's information, as provided and validated during the rental, to the relevant authorities.
Additionally, a fixed administrative fee will be applied. The fine itself is not covered by this fee and must be paid directly to the authority in charge. To avoid violations, we recommend familiarizing yourself with the traffic and parking rules in the country where you rent your YELO vehicle.

Is there a breakdown service?

As an optional add-on, you can subscribe to YELO’s Breakdown Assistance. This extended coverage protects you against maintenance and repair costs related to specific incidents. This optional mobility service is ideal for ensuring support in case of unforeseen events.
